Ervan Hancock

Ervan Hancock, Manager of Georgia Power’s Renewable Implementation Department and is responsible for development of the company’s renewable generation portfolio, research programs and strategy. In this role he has been pivotal in the development and implementation of the Company’s Advanced Solar Initiative which will increase the total amount of solar energy under contract in Georgia Power’s service territory to almost 1000 MWs by 2016. This will make Georgia one of the national leaders in solar development with the largest portfolio of solar photovoltaic on the east coast. Mr. Hancock is also responsible for the company’s other efforts in the area of renewable leading the acquisition of 250MW of wind generation and more than 270MW of biomass generation in the last 18 months.

Ervan currently serves as Treasurer and Member of the Executive Committee of the Solar Electric Power Association (SEPA) and Solar Energy Trade Show Association (SETS). SEPA is an educational nonprofit organization dedicated to helping utilities integrate solar power into their energy portfolios. SETS plays a pivotal role in supporting the rapid growth of the U.S. solar industry, significant job creation and increased energy independence. SETS is responsible for the largest solar industry trade show, Solar Power International, with over thirty thousand solar industry professionals in attendance.

Hancock earned a bachelor’s degree in political science and economics from St. Mary’s College of Maryland in May 1999 and has attended executive education at the Wharton School.

Rhem Wooten

Mr. Wooten is the executive vice president, origination and has been with Hannon Armstrong as a managing director since October 2010. Mr. Wooten has worked in the energy industry for more than 30 years, and has extensive experience in project development, commodity trading/risk management and project finance. Mr. Wooten previously held a number of senior management positions, including serving as president of Duke Energy Corporation’s domestic and international independent power production affiliates from 1988 to 1996, as managing director, origination and operations of Duke/Louis Dreyfus from 1996-1997, chief executive officer of Merchant Energy Group of the Americas (MEGA) from 1997 to 2000, as president and chief executive officer of Pradium, Inc. from 2000 to 2001 and as president of Allied Syngas Corporation from 2004 to 2010. Mr. Wooten received a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill in 1981.

Ted Brandt

Ted Brandt co-founded Marathon Capital in 1999 and currently serves as Chief Executive Officer and a Marathon Board Member. Marathon Capital is a Chicago based investment banking boutique focused on the global Energy and Infrastructure markets. Power Finance & Risk recently named Marathon Capital “Best Renewable Asset M&A Advisor” in the 10th Annual Power Finance Deals and Firms Awards.

At Marathon Capital, he spends the majority of his time working with his colleagues to deliver the Firm’s M&A and capital raising services to our Clients and their Boards.

Mr. Brandt received a BA in Economics from Oberlin College, an MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business, and holds his Series 7, 24, 63, 79 and 99 securities licenses.
