Robert joined MEAG MUNICH ERGO AssetManagement (MEAG) in July 2007. In his role as head of Renewable Energies and New Technologies (RENT) he is responsible for all of Munich Re’s private equity and debt investments (project finance) into Renewable Energy and New Technologies. Robert’s task area covers the whole value chain from origination of potential investments via due diligence to management of acquired projects respectively companies subsequent to financial closing. Robert has been dealing with public and private equity for more than 17 years. He started his career as sell side equity analyst at M.M. Warburg & CO. in Hamburg. Before joining MEAG in 2007, Robert took over responsibilities within Munich Re Group’s Corporate Finance and M&A department. Here Robert dealt primarily with equity investments into listed and unlisted companies. In addition, his scope of work comprised strategic projects on the alternative investment side. Robert completed his diploma in Business Administration at the Technical University of Berlin. In 2003 he finished an additional finance related off-the-job training successfully. As a consequence, Deutsche Vereinigung für Finanzanalyse und Asset Management GmbH awarded him the title Certified European Financial Analyst.
