Alberto is an Executive Director with Santander Global Corporate Banking in New York, and a team leader in the group responsible for the origination and structuring of non-recourse financings in North America, with a particular focus on infrastructure and energy in the U.S. and Canadian markets.

Over the last few years, he has had a leading role in some of the most relevant US Project Finance energy transactions such as: Mount Signal 2 and 3, Leeward, Springbok 1 and 2, Balko, Flat Top, Shannon, California Ridge, Arlington Valley, Centinela, and Walnut Creek, among others; some of which had been awarded the “Deal of the Year” nomination by different Project Finance publications. Alberto has structured and originated more than 40 projects in North America and has been Santander’s lead team member for the financing of more than 4GW of Wind, Solar and CGGT Projects

Since joining Santander in 2003, he has held several management positions within the Group both in Spain and the US, including being part of Santander’s international rotational executive training program. Prior to joining Santander, he worked in Capital One Financial Corp. in the US and Spain. Alberto holds a master’s degree in Telecommunication Engineering from Universidad Politécnica de Madrid and an MBA from IESE Business School.
